The Implementation of the Amazon Biotechnology Center - CBA attends to the following Legal Instruments:

- • Government Decree of January4th , 2008, which institutes the Inter ministerial Committee for the coordination and implementation of the "Amazon Biotechnology Center - CBA" project, as well as other provisions.

- Decree No. 6.041, of February 8th, 2007, which institutes a Policy for Biotechnological Development.

- Decree Law No. 288/67, which modifies Law No.3.173 of 6 /6/ 1957 and regulates the Free Trade Zone of Manaus;

- Law No. 10.973, of December 2nd, 2004, which provides incentives for innovation and scientific and technological research in the productive field (Law of Innovation);;

- Law. No. 08.010, of March 29th, 1990, which covers tax exemption for scientific equipments;

- Law No. 9.790, of March 23th, 1999, which regulates private non-profit companies as Public Interest Non-governmental Organizations (“Law of OSCIPs”);

- Law No. 9.637, of May 15th 1998, which regulates the qualification of entities as Social Organizations (Law of OSs)

- Decree 4.284 of June 26th , 2002, which institutes the Brazilian Program of Molecular Ecology for the Sustainable Use of Amazon Biodiversity – PROBEM;

- Temporary Measure Nº 2.186-16, of August 23rd, 2001, governing Access to genetic resources and traditional knowledge;

- Inter ministerial Policy Paper N.00017/MDIC/MF, March 31st 2004, which institutes the Government Policy for Industry, Technology and Foreign Trade (PITCE/MDIC)
