Amazon Biotechnology Center

The Amazon Biotechnology Center - CBA (acronym in Portuguese), a laboratorial complex and technology center in the Amazonian metropolis of Manaus, is in the final phase of implementation and integration with other institutions. It was set up as a part of the National Programme of Molecular Ecology for the Sustainable Use of the Amazon Biodiversity Resources – PROBEM (acronym in Portuguese). The Federal Government has actively supported CBA implementation through the Ministry of Environment - MMA, the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade – MDIC, and the Ministry of Science and Technology - MCT.

	Services to be offered by CBA
	- Genomics, proteomics and metabolomics applied to biotechnology innovation. - Biodiversity access. - Physical-chemical analysis.

	Premises
	The buildings and other facilities that comprise the headquarters of CBA have a integrated architectural conception appropriate to research and development under Amazon conditions.
