e Comercio de Alimento Ltda., began its activities in
the Industrial Pole of Manaus in 1991. The company manufactures
corn snacks Snack and Mittos, sweet popcorns and caramelized.
For the production of its products, the company uses
the extrusion and expansion technology. The average
production is of 360 bales a year. Ammac is genuinely
an amazonian company, which is responsible for generating
of 44 direct and 70 indirect jobs PIM.
Casa Roma
Indústria Ltda., maker of bakery products, of
the brand name " Brother's ", popsicles, ice
creams and pulp from regional fruits, of the name Frunat,
was created, in 1991, to assist the great demand of
the products produced by " Brother's ", in
the market of Manaus. Along the years, the company improved
the quality of its products, investing in technology,
machines, equipment and personnel training, becoming
one of the main industries of this sector, in the North
Region. To increase the production capacity and maximize
the conditions of its employees' safety, in 2000, the
company went through a revitalization process. The investments
added to U$1,5 million, in acquisition of new machines
and equipment.
CIEX, is a main company of Benzecry
group, it was established in 1944. It operates in
industrialization and exportation of amazonian products,
with emphasis to Brazilian nut, oil of rose-wood and
copaiba. CIEX also controls the industrial companies
of Juta S/A, that acts in the branch and textile factory
of juta. The group has 900 direct employees, in different
areas of performance. The nut production can arrive,
depending on the anvil, more than 100 million hl,
between the peeled product and the one with rind (the
nut just dehydrated or dehydrated and smoothed) Its
line of production has an ISO 9000 certificate, and
its markets are the United States, united Kingdom,
Italy and Germany.
Companhia Amazonense de Produtos Lacteos,
manufactures DuLeite products in the Industrial Pole
of Manaus, where it has been since 1988. Already consolidated
in the regional market, the company works in order
to maintain the quality standard that guaranteed it
the certification ISO 9002. DuLeite is one of the
main brands of the sector in the area, thanks to the
continued process of improvement to which its products
are submitted. The company has 120 employees, trained
to maintain the quality of DuLeite products.
The Industria de Laticínios
da Fazenda Ltda., has been in the Industrial Pole
of Manaus for 12 years. In the year 2001 the company
registered a growth of 30%, reaching a monthly average
production of 100 thousand liters of yogurt and two
tons of cheese and curd. The company has installed
capacity to increase its production in at least 50%.
The factory installed in the municipal district of
Iranduba ( 34 kilometers from Manaus) has modern equipment
and advanced technology. As raw material, the industry
Farm acquires small farmers' of the municipal district
of Iranduba fresh milk and acquired powdered milk
of São Paulo. The current production is destined
mainly for Amazonas and the municipal districts of
Santarém and Óbidos from neighboring
state Para. The company generates about 50 direct
jobs and more than 150 indirect jobs in PIM.
Sorveteria Glacial Industria e Comercio
is the main company of the sector in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus, where it holds more than 50% of the
local market, as a result of the performance of 40
years in the area network. Quality is the main objective
of the company. For that reason, the concern with
all the production phases, storage, transport and
matter - first line: water, skim milk, sugar and fruits.
The company counts with a factory equipped with modern
machinery and two warehouses that still store, perishable
and non perishable products, used as much in the factory
as in our eight stores. That entire process was recently
computerized in way to easy access to the location,
use and optimization of its own storage.
Jack's Amazônia Industria de
Alimentos Ltda, maker of corn snacks, in several different
flavors, was founded on October 18, 1980. The company
was pioneer in the production of corn snacks in the
Amazon and now, it is the leader in the regional market.
Jack's implemented and maintains a quality system,
NBR ISO 9002. The year in which the company was certified
for the first time was 1994. It was re certified by
the Foundation Carlos Alberto Vanzolini, on July 04,
2000. The certification is good until July 3, 2003.
The employees are treated as "internal collaborators”,
and they receive continuous improvement and specialization
training, such as applied production techniques, analysis
of methods and problem solution and prevention.
The industry A.Soares Ferreira &
Cia Ltda. is a manufacturer of the line of products
Lisbomassa, composed of crackers, cookies, butter
cookies, pasta, crispy corn flakes and wafer. Lisbomassa
has a productive capacity of 300 tons/year of pasta
and cookies and it has 70 employees. The company has
as goal to diversify the production and to look for
new spaces in the local market, where it is destined
100% of its production. The company doesn't use acids,
coloring, conservatives and stabilizers in the production
of its products, with expirations date from six months
of the production date. The main raw material, the
wheat flour, is imported from the Center-south area
of the Country.
Fábrica Modelo Ltda., is one
of the oldest companies installed in Manaus, founded
on June 19, 1941. Now it has 70 employees and, besides
Amazonas, it distributes its products to Acre and
Ceará. It has an average annual revenue superior
to R$ 2 million. The company, also, marks constant
productivity increase, continuously surpassing the
indexes of its productive capacity. In 2001, 1,1 million
kilograms of crackers and cookies were manufactured
and, of pasta alone, there were 360,5 kilos. The main
raw material of its products, the wheat flour, is
acquired in Amazonas.
Ocrim S.A. Nutritious Products Manaus
branch has been in the Industrial Pole of Manaus since
1961, where it manufactures the products Trigolar.
The company is the only wheat mill in the State of
Amazonas. The productive capacity of Ocrim is of up
to 420 toneladas/dia and its participation in the
local market is of 70%. Its products are also distributed
to Rondônia, Roraima and Pará. The assisted
sectors are: breads, sweet breads, fine sweets, general
dough, cookies, besides the domestic use. All of Trigolar
sub products are destined to the furniture industry,
as the flour glue, and to the industry of animal food,
which is the dust, one of the components of the food,
marketed with great representation by the company.
With a total of 100 direct jobs, the company works
with a system of items ready for delivery. Trigolar
is certified with ISO 9002.
Indústria e Comércio
de Laticínios R.Q. Ltda., has been in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus, 1988, it is leader in the north region,
in the yogurts sector. It's the producer of name brand
Yofrut. The company invests, constantly, in new technologies,
looking to consolidate in this very competitive market,
by introducing new products. It is a company locally
owned, 100% by Amazon born entrepreneurs, and has
62 people in Manaus. Yofrut presents a huge variety
of yogurts, from regional in addition to “light”.
Amazon Refrigerantes Ltda., began
its production activities in 1998 to operate in
the soft drinks sector. In January 2002 the company
diversified its activities and invested in bottling
equipment for the X-Tapa juice in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus. The new line has a production capacity
of 1,5 million bottles a month and it is destined
to the North Region market. The X-Tapa concentrate
is franchised by Lynehan International Group. At
the soft drinks factory, Amazon produces sodas with
flavors of: guaraná (Tauá), cola (Bizz),
and orange, grape and lemon (Flash).
Manaus Refrigerante is a company
of Grupo Simões, which has the concession
of the Coca-cola brand name in the area. The company
also manufactures guaraná Tuchaua and mineral
water Belágua. The first factory of soda
of the group was inaugurated in 1970 in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus, where it also owns a CO2 unit.
Grupo Simões is also present in the States
of Pará and Rondônia. Manaus Soda's
industrial plant in PIM is modern and it was built
with the most advanced technology, seeking to
assist the needs and growing demand of the market,
besides offering good work conditions to its employees.
In the beginning of 2002 the group invested R$
4 million in its line of cans. The system has
a capacity to produce 37,8 thousand cans per hour
or 787,5 thousand boxes with 24 cans a month.
The line of cans was bought from the German company
KHS, considered in the international market as
one of the largest and respected in the area of
equipment for the industries of drinks.

Ltda., founded in the Industrial Pole of Manaus

Magistral has the latest technology machinery,

approximately 8.000 square meters, and has in

Minalar began its activities in
1987, for the bottling of water from artesian

bottles of 1,5 lt, 0,5 lt and 0,3 lt, as well
as small glasses with 0,2 lt.
The company counts on Blowers Pugliese, to produce
the bottles of 5 lt, 1,5 lt, 0,5 lt and 0,3 lt
in Polyethylene Terefelat (PET) and a Colunio
maker for glasses. The company holds 15% of the
regional market, supplying besides Manaus, most
of the municipal districts of Amazonas and part
of the State of Roraima.
Santa Cláudia started
its in operation in the Industrial Pole of Manaus
in 1964, and now it occupies the leadership
position in the market of mineral water and
guaraná in the area. Its coverage of
the city of Manaus is of 90%, with 17,8 thousand

Ltda., began its activities in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus in 1993. The company operates

items, of which 30% are renewed to every year.

is of 12 thousand units. The company generates 80
direct jobs in PIM and it has the certification ISO
9002.
The company of Civil and Industrial
Constructions (Cocil), has been operating in the
Industrial Pole of Manaus since 1968, with the cut
and fold system of steel for solid concrete. The
company is a partner of the Gerdau Group, who is
among the largest producers of steel in the world
and it has great capacity of an annual production
of 11 million tons. Cocil also operates in the commercial
sector, with the distribution of metallurgical products

Conlajes - Construtora Lajes Ltda.,
began its activities in the Industrial Pole of
Manaus in 1983. Acting in the prefabricated concrete
sector, the company has its production geared
towards, for concrete beam " T ", and
intertwined slabs for great empty spaces and high
overloads, pressed concrete tubes, gutters and
tall walls for fence. Conlajes counts with its
own technology, for the development of its products,

The manufacturing park of the company is installed

meters, where they are made, with end technology,
all the lines of the BIC in Brazil (Ball-point
pens, Encendedores and Maquinillas de Afeitar).

generates 410 uses in the PIM and has certification

Installed in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus 26 years ago, Gillete has all
of its manufacturing operations in Brazil
concentrated at the plant in Manaus. For its
investment and commitment to technology, for
the support received from the authorities
and from the capital of Amazonas, from its
installation and from employees' quality,
Gillete's factory has an international prominence
today, being among the five larger and better
Gillete's plants in the world. The plant in
Manaus has about 900 employees, that administer
and produce using the best in the world in

Companhia Gillete is a hundred years old.

Fuji Photo Film installed
its unit in the industrial pole of Manaus,
in 1993, for the production of colored paper
and photographic films ISO 100. Constructed
in an area of 15.000m2, the company counts
on machines that cut colored paper and the
latest photographic films. It has different
packing techniques, like cartridge and blisters,
beyond mounting of equipment of mini Laboratory.
The plan of annual exportation of the company
is 3% of production. Fuji has 260 employees.

Brazilian Kodak opened
its factory in the Industrial Pole of
Manaus in 1997, with an investment of
US$ 12 million. The unit is responsible
for the cut and finish of 35mm photographic
colored film, X-RAYs, mammography and
tomography, films for graphic arts, microfilms
and photographic colored and black and
white paper - products that today supply
not only the domestic market, but also
some countries of South America. In Brazil
since 1920, Kodak generates 2,6 thousand
jobs today, 345 only in Manaus, and it
markets more than two thousand products
distributed in 56 thousand sales places.
Kodak is the only company of the sector
to accomplish in Brazil the complete cycle
of photographic production, generating
jobs and contributing to the growth of
the Country. The manufactured products,
marketed and exported by the company have
an ISO 9000 Certification, competing in
conditions of technical equality in any
world market. Besides, Kodak worries about
the environment, being the first company
to manufacture photosensitive products

Brady started its activities
in the Industrial Pole of Manaus in

the biggest manufacturer in the Country,
