Amazonas Solar Energy Ltd., a company of the group Amazonian Network of Radio and Television, began its activities, in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, in 1989, for the productions of kits " and systems photovoltaic for residences and companies. With capital, entirely, national, the company develops systems and sets up " kits ", using solar radiation as source of energy to generate electricity, using the most advanced technology. The sun is a source of alternative energy, ecologically correct, suitable for use in remote areas, where there is not conventional energy. The Amazonas Solar Energy Ltd is the exclusive dealer for the Amazon Region of " Siemens Solar Industries ".

AMAZON PC

Amazon PC Ltda. is a company of the electroelectronic sector of the Industrial Pole of Manaus, with point technology for industrialization of portable microcomputer (laptop) and other products used in computer science. The company is the successor of Pensat Indústria e Comércio Ltda. Besides the "laptop", the company operation is geared towards keyboard production (used in computer science), indicator and sharpener (used in computer science), data processing unit, mounted PCI, video monitor and caller ID.

AVX

AVX Components of the Amazon Ltda., is the successor Company of Thomson Components of the Amazon Ltda., in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. AVX is a company of the components sector for the electric electronic industries installed in PIM, with production geared towards ceramic capacitors for general use, ceramic capacitor for professional use, ceramic capacitors of multi layers, ceramic duo electric, chips of ceramic capacitors for SMD assembly, tantalum electrolytic capacitors. The company has a certificate ISO 9002.

BMA

BMA Indústria e Comércio Ltda., began its activities in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, in 1992, for the production of cameras, flashes and tripods of the maker TRON, and assembly of some components of the reflex Zenit cameras. In 1998, BMA diversified the production and invested in the sector of accessories for video games and PCs, representing in Brazil, the American brand name Interact, manufacturing " Joysticks ", steering wheels, " game pads ", pistols and cartridges for memory expansion, dedicated to each game platform, like " Nintendo ", Playstation ", Dreamcast " and " PC ", besides a line of filters and universal remote control. Now, the participation of BMA, in the market, is of 25% in the sector of photographic cameras, leader in the cameras reflex cameras sector, and about 20% of the game accessories market, with the brand name Interact. These numbers guarantee a revenue of US$ 12 million a year to the company. BMA is certified with ISO 9002.

BRAS CABOS

Brascabos da Amazônia was implanted in 2000 in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, to assist initially Brastemp da Amazonônia. Today, its customers are formed by great companies, of different sectors. The company works in the development of solutions for electric systems. Its production presents "excellent performance" in quality, allied with flexibility and versatility. It dominates automation technologies, in application of terminals and connectors, electric conductors production and plastic injection. Brascabos uses techniques such as "Kanban", "Just in Time", Masp and PDCA. Labor of Brascables is composed by professionals, with training in the 6 Sigma methodology. In 2002, the plant in Manaus won two professionals " Green Belts ". Besides Brazil, Brascables products are present, direct and indirectly, in the markets of Argentina, Chile and Venezuela. BRASTEMP

Brastemp da Amazônia S. A. is an unit of Multibrás S.A. Eletrodomésticos, holder of the brand name Brastemp and Consul, that it made of Embraco, Multibrás Plásticos and Brascabos, Brasmotor S.A. The company began its activities in Manaus in 1992. The factory located in the avenue Torquato Tapajós was inaugurated in 1998, receiving investments of US$ 40 million. Brastemp acts with high verticalization degree in its productive processes and it invests in its collaborators' development by means of education and training, increasing the professional and personal qualifications. In 2000 the unit implanted the system of Circle Quality Control (CCQ), with the objective of taking advantage of the knowledge and the employees' creativity and to turn the work atmosphere into a healthier and more productive place. Brastemp is a pioneer in innovations: it was the first to create the refrigerator with isolation in polyurethane, the refrigerator with system frost free, the self cleaning stove, the vertical freezer and the dishwashers.

BRIO

Integrating the technology of Pinpads Schlumberger, distributed in São Paulo, denominated Paytec, Brio Tecnologia Indústria Ltda. is manufacturing in the Industrial Pole of Manaus a POS called BR-1800 (terminal of data communication). With Brazilian technology 100%, the product answers the specifications of the Brazilian market of machines that capture credit and debit cards. Brio's plan is to hold 10% of market share, selling 15.000 BR-1800 with a revenue of R$ 7.5 Million. Brio counts with a plant in Manaus-AM, a distribution unit in São Paulo and a partnership in Research and Development with several companies.

CEE

CCE da Amazônia S.A'S is one of the companies of the group CCE in Manaus, where they operate: CCE Componentes da Amazônia S/A, that maintains the sector of plastic parts transformation, protection cushion, CD Player mechanisms and printing; PCE - paper recycling and packing products; CCE Eletrodomésticos S/A produces microwave ovens, also contemplating a transformation sector. Its line of production is of colored TV and sound systems. It manufactures products of name brand CCE and, under license AIWA. The industrial production of CCE started in 1971 with the production of portable radios. In the eighties, when it began to produce televisions and to manufacture the main components for its units, the company was already known all over Brazil. The industrial complex includes factories in the capital and interior of São Paulo, in the municipal districts of Itu and Campinas and in Manaus. The group is leader in the audio sector, from where it obtains 60% of its revenue. It is among the largest companies of the sector in video production (DVDs and televisions) and one of the main manufacturer of refrigerators, freezers and microwaves to supply internal market and to export. The company is one of the first ones to have its System of Administration of Quality Certificate ISO 9001/2000.

DDA ELETRÔNICA

DDA Eletronic is one of the main companies producers of parts and electronic components of the Industrial Pole of Manaus. The company began its activities in 1985 to assist the demand of the electro electronic industries installed in PIM. A Company with certificate ISO 9002, DDA produces transformers with sheets of silica steel up to 1 kva, transformers with ferrite nucleus up to 1 kva, transformers with sheets of silica steel up to 2 kva, transformers for microwave ovens, electronic reactors, feeding sources (ups) and no break, static converters, feeding sources for cellular telephones, video audio units, video, video games, receptor/converter of video signals coded and not coded through cable and mmds, receiver of video signals through satellite, remote controls.

DIXTAL

Dixtal Biomedical Industry and Comércio Ltda., specializes in the health information system, manufactures in the Industrial Pole of Manaus monitors of biological signs, sensor of biological signs and cables with sensor. It is also responsible for the production of software that allows doctors to follow the patient's clinical picture through the internet. The company holds more than 70% of the national market in the health information sector. With a monthly production around 1.350 units for several areas of medicine, Dixtal has as main customers the government, that supplies the public hospitals network, companies of the private health sector, as hospitals and private clinics, besides non-governmental organizations (ONGs). Dixtal sub-contracts a great part of its products to another companies of the Industrial District. The company is certified by ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. In Amazonas the company generates 85 direct jobs and sales are accomplished through a registered representative.

ELGIN

Elgin Industrial da Amazônia, company from the group Elgin S.A, that over the years has diversified its operation in the Brazilian market, producing consumer goods for domestic and industrial use, besides distributing products made by big international companies. Today, group Elgin has different divisions for each line of action. Manaus, the company manufactures with international technology, industrial sewing machines, machine for tricot and crochet, motor for tricot machines, printing tapes, electric electronics equipments, corrective tapes for type writers, jet ink printers, scanners, facsímile with printing for laser system, video cameras, optical photocopy machines, digital unity of processing, video monitor and video cameras, and others.

ELSYS

Operating in the market for over 12 years, Elsys offers a sophisticated package of services to its customers. Elsys' plant is in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, and is considered one of the 40 largest companies installed in PIM. It has an industrial park with the latest developments, modern equipment, and a team of 300 highly qualified professionals in production, administration and logistics areas of distribution of the products that manufactures. The performance of Elsys in the local market is firm in the industry of electroelectronics pole. The main sectors are TV subscription (decoders for cable TV, decoders DTH (satellite) and distribution divisors); white line (electronic modules of control), auto-radios (tape recorder, Cd-players and Cd holders); and accessories (remote controls, mounted boards for printed circuit). Certified by ISO 9000 since 1994, the company also has, sophisticated laboratories for research, development of new products, tests and quality control.

EMTEC

EMTEC da Amazônia is one of the largest sales generate facility of EMTEC group worldwide. In the Industrial Pole of Manaus, is a plant highly equipped with automation injection plastic process, rewinding and packing of audio and video products. These process are responsible for a huge share of those traded and exported items done by the company. EMTEC offers lines of products for computer science, audio and video, with technical know how acquired over decades and applied by a team of expert professionals. It is a goal for the company, to become one of the greatest producers of media magnetic tapes for audio and video, both analog and digital. In order to accomplish this goal, the employees work seriously in the planning, development, and production, and trade of all the goods manufactured in the country, and, also, those imported.

EVADIN

Evadin occupies a prominent place among the companies of the electronic branch due to the continuous improvement of its technology. The plant in Manaus includes all of the production in approximately 50 thousand square meters. In São Paulo, the company concentrates its administrative and technical assistance headquarters. Evadin began to operate in the Manaus Free Trade Zone in 1972, producing consumer's electronic products. The first company of the group began its operation in 1967, exclusively with import of products of Mitsubishi Electric and Aiko. In 1979, the TV factory began its activities. In 1985, Evadin began to produce Mitsubishi videocassettes, visualizing a growth participation in the national market of electronic products. In 2000, it entered in the computer science sector, starting to industrialize microcomputers and video monitors. The company is certified with an ISO 9000.

EXATEL

Componix da Amazônia began its activities in the Industrial Pole of Manaus in 2000, for the production of telephone receivers not combined with other units and boards of mounted circuit (except for use in computer science). The products are manufactured with conventional technology and SMD standards. The annual production is of 360 thousand units, destined to the national market. The company generates 20 direct and 6 indirect jobs in PIM.

FABORTEC

Fabor Componentes da Amazônia is a company specialized in the development of silicon wrappings, compact and/or special standard keyboards. It has been in the national market for over 10 years, and over this timeline, has been part of many projects, including the election voting processor for 1998, and 2000, and the national production of silicon wrapping for Siemens. The company has technology for the development of silicon wrapping molds, several keyboards, inclusive, all required tools; special software, and products(plates, keyboards, and silicon wrappings) for local manufacture or overseas. Fabortec has two strong associates in the making of projects and distribution of silicon wrappings: MDL Membrana Digital Ltda Rio de Janeiro, and LIFE São Paulo.

FBL

Structured to produce microcomputers in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, FBL operates inside of the regime PPB (I Process Productive Basic) standing out among the largest makers in the country. In its sales, it maintains the agility through the system " just in team " and " built to order ", applied to the processes of sales production, being able to assist the most varied requested configurations, seeking exclusively, customer's total satisfaction. Endorsing all of its business and products with seriousness and quality, FBL still offers a wide net technical assistance throughout the whole national territory with direct from the factory. FLEX

A Flex Importadora Exportadora Indústria e Comércio de Máquinas e Motores Ltda, is a Company specialized in the industrial automation of boards, plates, components, in both conventional technology and in technology SMD. It has a complete park of machines and equipments installed and supply many customers among many sectors, specially the, electronics, for plate boards assembly, and in the data processing industry, it produces on O&M, for components and industry of final goods, and with Electronic Contracting Manufacturing for many products. It hires today 434 people and has an ISO 9002 Certificate.

With the objective of assisting the demand generated by the mobile telephony sector, Flextronics settled in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, in 2000. The company manufactures battery charger for cellular telephones, several boards of mounted printed circuit, phone head set for cellular telephone and electronic equipment of consumption. The company, already has certifications, that attest to the quality in the production process, and the concern with the environment: ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. Its 230 employees receive constant specialization training in courses as: selective collection, data collection, and assembly of components.
