CLIMAZON

COMERCIAL CIBORG

With the objective of facilitating the life of the people in rural areas, and to offer larger safety and comfort to the ones that navigate through the amazon rivers, Commercial Ciborg was founded on February 13, 1997. Now it has 12 employees and has as main manufactured products, flotation devices built with fiber glass. Standing out are life saving rings, the cooler and small boats as kayak and canoe. Among the main advantages of the products, are the easy maintenance, safety and durability. The company distributes its products to all the States of the Legal Amazon.

DENSO

Implanted in 1996 in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, Denso Industrial of the Amazon Ltd. produces air conditioning for buses, automotive compressor , ignition for motorcycle and alternators for motorcycle. Last year the company stopped manufacturing air conditioning for automobiles due to a market lack. With 150 employees, Denso has as big customers Moto Honda and Yamaha, that buy parts for motorcycles. As part of the conglomerated Denso Corporation of Japan, Manaus branch has today a monthly revenue around R$ 7 million and its social capital rotates in R $ 32 million. The company estimates for the end of 2002 a revenue in the margin of R$ 75 million and to manufacture more than 800 thousand parts. With relationship to the input, 60% of the components come from another Brazilian states and the other 40% come from Thailand and Japan. With a growth forecast Denso already has projects for the future to manufacture a tension regulator in 2003, but it is still not definite.

ELECTROLUX

Electrolux da Amazônia Ltda., is one of the 500 companies of Electrolux's Group, the world's largest appliance manufacturer present in 60 countries. In the Industrial Pole of Manaus the implanted lines are of Air Conditioning and Microwaves, including parts. The company's plant was built in an area of 4.000 m2, endowed with point machinery. All of the technology used is from the Swedish multinational. The production is destined to the Brazilian market and it has the Certification ISO 9002.

ELGIN

Elgin Industrial da Amazônia, company from the group Elgin S.A, that over the years has diversified its operation in the Brazilian market, producing consumer goods for domestic and industrial use, besides distributing products made by big international companies. Today, group Elgin has different divisions for each line of action. Manaus, the company manufactures with international technology, industrial sewing machines, machine for tricot and crochet, motor for tricot machines, printing tapes, electric electronics equipments, corrective tapes for type writers, jet ink printers, scanners, facsímile with printing for laser system, video cameras, optical photocopy machines, digital unity of processing, video monitor and video cameras, and others.

FRIOTERM

Frioterm da Amazônia Industria e Comercio Ltda.,has been in the Industrial Pole of Manaus for 10 years, and its production is geared towards “split " and " self " central air conditioning units. The company supplies the internal and external market, with made to order products. Using national technology, the company imports the components from São Paulo, Japan and the United States. The company's revenue in 2001 was R$ 7 million.

GREE ELETRIC APPLIANCES

Gree Eletric Appliances of Brazil installed its factory in the Industrial Pole of Manaus in 2000, for the production of air conditioning units type " split ". The company integrates the Chinese group, Gree Eletric Appliances CO., doing business in 60 countries. The factory of PIM is the first of Mercosul. In Manaus, all of the Gree air conditioning units of Brazil, are produced with Chinese technology, from the simplest model, well-known as “window”, to the " Split Cassette ", of 41 thousand BTUs, with horizontal and vertical models. There is also a portable air conditioned, with a special water reservoir. The brand name appeared in 1989, and in 1997, it conquered the title of " Better International Brand Name", according to the " European Entrepreneurs Association ". In Brazil there are 148 dealers of Gree products.

ITAM

Industria de Transformadores Amazonas Ltda. (ITAM) is the manufacturer of distribution transformers, and it is well accepted before the regional market. Founded in 1987, in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, ITAM is exclusively a company with national resources. ITAM produces distribution transformers, of 5 to 2000 KVA, in oil, in the class of 15 KV, dry transformers, low tension and several tensions transformers, low tension automatic transformers, panels and electric Cubicles. The company has a commitment, to improve the quality of its products, seeking to assist its customers' needs, with partnerships, with its collaborators and vendors.

KSB

KSB da Amazônia S.A, is a company of the German group KSB, one of the largest makers of hydraulic pumps in the world, and the first in Brazil. The company began the productive activities in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, in 1990, and aware of the evolution of the needs of the market and of the globalization, KSB has been making, continuously, important investments and intense programs, seeking the improvement of its industrial unit and quality standards. Working with hydraulic pumps and valves, KSB offers a wide line of products, that can be used for many different use and performance. The company has a certificate ISO 9002.

LEVEFORT

Levefort Icoma S.A., is a company that projects and builds canoes, boats, cargo and passenger boats, search and rescue, private and industrial fishing boats, also used as utility fluvial and coastal. In the Industrial Pole of Manaus since 1974, the company manufacturers its products through MIG welding process, with material especially developed for Levefort Icoma: the aluminum joins naval 5052 anticorrosion, which offers flexibility and elasticity to impacts. The Levefort Icoma ships are light, agile, durable and demand smaller engine potency without maintenance.

METAM

Metam Components da Amazônia Ltda., is a company installed in the Industrial Pole of Manaus since April 1992, in constant expansion phase. It operates in the industrialization of springs of steel and screws, following norms and international standards strictly (DIN/JIS). The company is also specialized in services of finish, tooling, foundry, civil construction and metallic structures. Metam Components always looks for the excellence of its products and services, having technology and imported equipment and team of specialized and competent professionals, that guarantee the quality of the products and customers' satisfaction.

REFREX

Of Italian origin, Refrex of Amazonas is the leader in the sector of development of components for refrigeration in Latin America. The company manufactures, in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, helical condenser, connectors and accumulators, suction lines, aluminum tubes, capillary tubes, tubes for air conditioning and stoves. Certified with ISO 9002, Refrex has, as main customers: Brastemp of Amazônia, Dense of Brazil, CCE Eletrodomésticos, Industrial Climazon, Electrolux of Amazônia and Multibrás.

REFRIMA

Refrima Refrima S/A - Industrial Equipment, subsidiary of the company Recrusul, entered its operation in the Industrial Pole of Manaus in 1977, to produce equipment for refrigeration of perishable products, besides air conditioning units for buses and utility vehicles. The Company's main customers are Sadia and Marcopolo, this last one, leader in the development of solutions to public transportation. Most of all local production distributed, goes to the states of the Southeast and South of the Country, where Refrima's main customers are. Refrima imports components from the United States, Germany and Thailand. The technology used in the production is national. The company generates 38 jobs in PIM
