a productive capacity of 900 ton/month, Valfilm Amazônia
is manufacturing films of stretched out polyethylene
(Stretch Film), in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. The
industrial park of the company is composed of the latest
equipment, that assure a high productivity, with excellent
final quality of the products, manufactured by means
of European technology. The company is part of the group
Valfilm, which holds more than 65% of the national market
and Mercosul, being the leader in this sector.
Valfilm is in PIM, since
January of 2002, and it generates 70 right and indirect

Indústria e Comércio Ltda. is a company

Triple S Cosmosplast da Amazonia. is
the result of a joint venture between an American
plastic injection company, Triple S Plastics (today
Eimo Oy, of Finnish origin), and a Brazilian plastic
injection company Cosmosplast. The company's plant
is installed in an area of 2,3 thousand square meters
and it operates 24 hours a day.
The machines are electric, of high-speed,
endowed with mechanical system and projected for molding
of pieces of fine wall, with closing capacity of 90
to 385 tons.

developed in In-mold decoration (IMD) and Painting.

Tetraplast of Industrial Amazônia
Ltda. is a manufacturer of engines of plastic material,
for packing and conditioning. The company, also, produces
plastic tubes, conduits for electric installation
and twines. Tetraplast settled in the Industrial Pole
of Manaus, in 1987. These days, all the production
is geared towards assisting the commercial companies
of Amazonas and of another States of the North Region.

Springer Plasticos da Amazônia
S/A., is one of the most traditional companies in
the area of plastic injection, finish and assembly
of products and subsets of the Industrial Pole of
Manaus.
The main manufactured products are:
components for TV cabinets, stereo system, microwave
ovens, air conditioning, motorcycles, telephone, video
games, computer monitors, among others. In its production
line there are 16 machines of injection of 550 to
1300 tons, 14 machines of medium load, from 62 to
500 tons, eight lines of finish and painting and three
units of gas injection. Splam has several certificates
as proof of high quality developed in its internal
process of production.
Among them, some certified by the União
Certificadora (UC), for the Social Service of the
Industry (SESI) denominated " Quality in Work
" and Sharp, that offered " Supplier Quality
Certificate ".
The year of 1996, was the beginning
of Sony Plastics of the Amazon Ltd in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus, with its main objective being in the
plastic injection sector, assemble of chassis, front
panel, assembled mechanisms and assembled acoustic
boxes. Third unit of Sony of the Amazon in PIM, the

has 58 employees in Manaus.
The industry of plastic packing Tamboré is
a subsidiary of the multinational Alcoa Alumínio,
and it produces pre forms for bottles of sodas (type
PET), in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. The company,
also is investing in the sector of tops for plastic
packages and aluminum tile for roof. Tamboré
has a production capacity of 180 million pre forms
/year. The expectation is, that, 10% of the production
stay at the local market, and 90% for the rest of
the Country. Founded in 1998, Tamboré began
its industrial performance, with attention towards

Ltda. It has been operating in the Industrial Pole
of Manaus since 1994, for the production of plastic

plastic injection. The production is geared towards
assisting the industries of PIM. R&B plastic generates
55 direct and 35 indirect jobs in PIM.
Prestige da Amazônia Ltda.,
was founded in 1998, with the objective of producing
packaging in EPS (expandable Polystyrene). The company
operates in the sectors of packaging (support for
televisions, video cassette and microwave ovens
and other electro electronic products), thermal
insulation (plaques for refrigeration and thermal
insulation for tubes), utility (thermal boxes for
drinks) and civil construction. Prestige generates
50 direct and 80 indirect jobs in PIM. Its main
customers are LG, Panasonic and Samsung.
Isopor Espumas Plasticas da Amazonia,
is a company of the group Knauf-Isopor, world
leader in the expanded polystyrene supply to the
civil construction market, and of industrial packing.
The factory of the Industrial Pole of Manaus,
is one of the 18 plants that the group maintains
in different countries. At PIM, the production
is geared towards molded parts of expandable polystyrene(Styrofoam).
Recently, the plant went through a modernization
process, with the objective of endowing it of
the most advanced necessary resources to supply
the demands of the Brazilian market. The products
of Isopor Plastic Foams of Amazônia operates

da Amazônia Ltda. Has been in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus since 1989, where it produces injected
plastic parts and with superficial finish destined
mainly to the electro electronic, telephony, toy,

by machine injectors from 60 to 250 tons of closure,
of name Pic, Orient Romi and Welltec, that guarantee
a total capacity of transformation 60 ton/month

Plasman Plástico Manaus Ltda. is one of
most important companies of the flexible plastic
packaging sector in the north of the country.
It has as customers, among others, the follwing

in the employees' education and creation of
a model of local administration. The plant
in Manaus maintains high computerized and
productivity standards and has the most modern
equipment in the sector of plastic injection.

The Intensys da Amazönia
is one of the main manufactures of plastic components,
for cellular devices in the industrial pole
of Manaus. The company resulted from a fusing
of the Brazilian Metagal Industry and the Textron
multinational, partnership that appeared, in
1999, because of the potential market for cellular
telephony. The Intensys has proper technology,
in the development of its products. The main
investments of the company are in injection
machines, high Japanese technology, and in robotics,
for automation of assembly lines. The company
has as a goal, to continue investing in new
equipment, in order to follow the trends of

Currently, Intensys has 350 employees, in the

Lanaplast Indústria da
Amazônia manufactures plastic goods for
civil construction in the Industrial Pole of Manaus.
The main products are PVC lining and profiles,
with variation of colors in wooden patterns of
the area: angelim-stone, little cedar, cedar,
mahogany and the mulateiro. The industrial park
of Lanaplast is totally computerized. The equipment,
of German technology, are the most advanced in
the sector and the raw material used by the company
is the granulated PVC. Lanaplast offers a product
of high technology and quality, which avoids fire
propagation, it doesn't create fungus, termites
and it doesn't develop mold.
Preciados Plastic da Amazonia Ltda.,
is a transforming industry of thermal plastic material,
that began its productive activities in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus, in 2001, to supply the industries
of the electro electronic pole. The company has a
changing capacity of 800 tons a month, of plastic
parts for injection (cabinet and parts for stereo)
and parts for plastic furniture (chairs and tables).
Preciados plant's has the latest technology machinery,
that guarantee the constant quality of its products.
The company has 330 employees, and it is installed
in an area of 50 thousand m2, in the Industrial District

S.A'S Injepet Embalagens is an innovative company
in the market of PET, which with work and creativity,
looks for solutions for the technical and market
problems of packaging, investing in high technology

Injepet produces pre-forms to blow, and could develop
new products for every market need. Injepet works,
only, with vendors of total quality standard, besides

The Industry of Plastic Glasses
of the Amazon (Incoplam), is the first factory
of the sector in the North and Northeast Regions
of Brazil. Linked to the group Bipacel, the company
began its activities in the Industrial Pole of
Manaus in 2002, with a capacity to process 280
tons of disposable glasses per month. The company's
plant, built in an area of 2,6 thousand m2, has

in the Industrial Pole of Manaus since 1996.
The company looks at those industries demanding
components in many sectors, with the supply
of parts and components stamped, plastic parts,
tools, moulds, matrixes, painting. The company
also produces body shaping equipments of all
types. In search for better technology, for
the development of its productive process, Ifer
invests in equipments, machines, moulds, all
of the latest technology, making its products
more trustful and competing. It hires today,
307 people in Manaus, and has a certification

Engepack, Embalagens da Amazônia
Ltda, is the manufacturer of PET packagings,
of products of preforma injection and of blow
bottle in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. Engepack
is the largest company of the segment, with
a monthly average production of 6 million
pieces in PET preform, destined mostly to
the factories of Coca-Cola spread throughout
Brazil. Part of production also, is destined
to the export to Latin America. The markets
of Venezuela, Chile and Panama are part of
the plan of expansion of Engepack. Engepack's
goal is to be recognized, by 2003, as quality
referential, productivity and profitability
in the Brazilian market of PET packaging.

City Plastik Indústria
& Com Plastico Ltda., has been operating
in the Industrial Pole of Manaus since
1987. The company manufactures technical
films for the industries of toilette paper,
thermal contrast films, used in the soda
sector, besides white and recycled bags,
used in retail. The consumers' market
is concentrated in Manaus, mainly in the
supermarkets sector, that buys an average
of 40% to 50% of City Plastik's total
production. The company also operates
in the plastic recycling sector.
CCE da Amazônia
S.A'S is one of the companies of the
group CCE in Manaus, where they operate:

that maintains the sector of plastic
parts transformation, protection cushion,
CD Player mechanisms and printing; PCE
- paper recycling and packing products;
CCE Eletrodomésticos S/A produces
microwave ovens, also contemplating
a transformation sector. Its line of
production is of colored TV and sound
systems. It manufactures products of
name brand CCE and, under license AIWA.
The industrial production of CCE started
in 1971 with the production of portable
radios. In the eighties, when it began
