Timex da Amazônia
Ltda. has been in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, since
1996. The company has been responsible for the production
of a set of 200 models of watches, which are distributed
all over the national the market, by a production from
25,000 to 30,000 pieces per month Timex, also, imports
and sells the watches of mark "Guess", for
class A' consumer in the whole country. Presently ,
Timex generates 80 direct and indirect jobs in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus, and it has 30 agents throughout Brazil.
The company has modified its commercial action , by
introducing its own "on line" sales channels,
which allow the salesperson to work using his/her "palm
top", having real time access, to the listing in
stock for all the models produced in Manaus.
The Dumont Saab do Brasil S/A is the
first manufacturer of Latin America, and is in the
industrial pole of Manaus, since 1970. Holding 15%
of the national market, the company adds, also, the
marks Condor and Mirvaine, that supply specifics groups.
With total manufacture on PIM, the company exports,
currently, part of the Dumont production line to the
United States. The strategy of the company is to search
for trends, in some parts of the world, mainly, in
Europe and the United States. With technology coming
from Switzerland, the Dumont watches have 90% of the
collection directed toward the feminine public, and
the Condor covers 40% of masculine models and sports
line, and the Mirvaine is more feminine, and follows

Magnum Industria da Amazônia
S.A., manufactures, in the Industrial Pole of Manaus,
clock radios, calculators, walkman , games, lighters,
pen clock, wrist watches, pocket and table clock,
electronic calendar and translator. The company is
the manufacturer of the "Magnum" clock.
Geared mainly, to the sports line, the "Magnum"
watches are manufactured with point technology, and
it goes through, a long development process, that
guarantees its looks, multiple functions and proven
quality. Magnum maintains a direct relationship with
the commercial companies installed in the Manaus Free

e Comércio S/A is one of the companies belonging
to Mondaine Group.It has been in the Industrial Pole
of Manaus since 1978, Quartz produces analog and digital
watches, distributed in the national market. Today,
the company produces, in an average 3.5 thousands
watches per day, and the annual average production
is around 840 thousands pieces. The manufacturing
process of Quartz Elétron for watches uses
machine and manual tools. It has also, printing base
machines with high technology, inducing more efficiency
and productivity. .The company generates 133 jobs
in the Industrial Pole of Manaus PIM, and it has a
certification ISO 9002.
Installed in the Industrial Pole of
Manaus 20 years ago, Brazilian Technos da Amazônia,
produced in this period 1,1 million wrist watches.
Today it holds the head position in the national market
with 30% participation in the value of the revenue.The
year 2001 represented an important moment in the history
of the company: its entrance in the international
market and the right to produce Seiko watches. Technos
manufactures components, as plastic boxes and bracelets,
steel bottoms, faces, stamping and brass box, polish
and gold plated and complete tooling for the production
of molds and accessories, it industrializes the final
product that is marketed to all of the national territory
and other countries as Switzerland, Bolivia, Malta
and Japan. Technos generates 330 direct jobs in Manaus
and it was the first company of the sector to receive
an ISO 9002 Certificate and to conquer more than 10
times the prize Mérito Lojista.
Seculus da Amazônia S.A is a
company 100% national, created in 1989 in the Industrial
Pole of Manaus, with focus in the production of wrist
watches. The company belongs to a group of companies
controlled by three holdings, that act in the most
diversified activities' branches: industry of jewels
and clocks, industry of golden layered, private welfare,
constructions, real state, factoring, agricultural,
furniture and computer science market. The installed
capacity of the factory of PIM is of 6 thousand unites/day.
The company owns modern equipment and a specialized
team and prepared to assist the demand of requests
of the entire Country. The company counts with the
certification ISO 9002 and it is prepared to supply
its products to the most demanding customers from
Brazil and outside.
Metal Alloy Indústria e Comércio
Ltda., produces since 1996, radio clocks Primex in
the Industrial Pole of Manaus. The company is one
of major producer of wrist watches here, made with
Japanese and Chinese technology, watches Primex are
distributed throughout the country in different models
for both men and women. The company hires presently
24 people, and has many sales agents in the country.
Due to the high standards demanded
in the production of its products, Orient Relógio
da Amazônia, founded in 1978, is one of the
main makers of wrist watches in the Industrial Pole
of Manaus. Produced by means of Japanese technology,
Orient is champion in sales in the national territory,
where it exhibits the quality stamp ISO 9002. The
commitment of the East is to offer to the market what
is most current in terms of clocks, emphasizing the
one that is considered by the specialists as the true
clock: The Automatic. Orient has an annual fixed investment
of R$ 7,8 million and it has now, 155 employees in
PIM.
In the Industrial Pole of Manaus since
1987, Brasil S.A'S Haller Relógios do Brasil
S.A., manufactures watches and clocks mechanisms for
wall clocks, table clocks, "quartz" alarm
clock, carillon, clocks for cars and programmable
switches, " analog quartz alarm " and wrist
watch and wall clocks. In the majority of those products,
the company uses international point technology. All
of the company's employees go through periodic training.
The plant was built in an area of 7 thousand m2 in
the Industrial District of Manaus, and it is equipped
with point machinery in the sector.
